Based upon my small sample size of two SFO/JFK flights (June and yesterday), it appears that AA is overselling J to the extent that there are available F seats. I scored an op up yesterday to F (as a OWE). I expect that AA isn't releasing much if any saver F space for this reason. Meanwhile, service was excellent. Food was fine except for the main course.
