Wow. I believe all Delta 777s were updated to Suites before they were retired, and if so, this would be a huge upgrade from AI's POS J seats, even if it is not quite Qatar QSuites. They should just buy these planes and be done with it, and break up their current 777s for parts.

These will have fewer J seats, I believe 28; but if these planes have a crew rest area below, as I think they do, crew will not have to pitch a tent in the back of the J section---a really tacky practice. If so, the effective J capacity is about the same.

Hope they will have these in place for our December trip. Six planes do not cover all NA-India operations---I am not sure which routes will get them, and why.

PS These planes are also GoGo satellite internet equipped; but AI probably won't activate it.
