Assuming you are flying on narrow bodied metal (unless they run wide bodies to Cancun?), and given the fact you are 25K, your best chance to upgrade would be to try it on a lat fare. Also, I assume the toddler is sitting on a lap? You can only upgrade one person in addition to yourself. EF should tell you what R space is available for immediate lat upgrade.
