I don't have a dog in this hunt and I'm not trying to be adversarial, but I do have a sensitivity to slippery logic and frankly someone that doesn't fly much is very unlikely to dilute anyone's benefits.

Obviously none of us know the profile of the 'manufactured spend' CK's, but logic says if you're committed enough to have an AA credit card, you must at least do
some level of flying. And those folks will now likely be top of the upgrade list.
