Douche factor aside, I wholeheartedly agree. I don't expect classic Concorde-quality tags, but most of the current ones are a waste of plastic.
Full disclosure - the "look" of my B+R bags are likely ruined by my bright yellow FT tags, but they've helped spark some conversations at least.
