SQ are pretty good at making sure passengers catch the flight if there's an issue. My flight out of CDG was delayed by 1 hr the other day because of long lines at the security checks, and my connecting flight in SIN was pushed back by 2 hours to accommodate passengers on a late-running flight out of LHR.
