Multiple liars at the Four Points Bakersfield

I recently checked into the 4pts Bakersfield for single night stay. As usual, I'd checked the app that morning and learned that I'd been upgraded to a suite. Cool. When I arrived my keycard was ready. But alas, the clerk lied...

FDC : Would you like a late check-out
Me : Sure, 4pm
FDC white-outs the room number on the key card jacket and replaces it with another room number
ME: *confused*. Do I have my suite
FDC : You have an upgraded room
I know this linguistic legerdemain
ME: But is it a suite
FDC : We don't have suites in this hotel
ME: Well, that's not true, this morning the app showed me having a suite.
FDC : Actually, the suite is booked tomorrow, so I can't give it to you with the late check-out
ME: Well, just cancel the late check-out, and by the way, you shouldn't lie to your guests that you don't have suites.
FDC : You're right, I'm sorry

I thought that was pretty crappy to blatantly lie to my face. I filed a complaint with my Ambassador telling them I don't want any compensation except an apology so I know that the hotel considers bald-faced lies to be unacceptable. A week passes and I haven't heard from the hotel. I reach out to my Ambassador who stated that they'd been informed that the hotel had e-mailed me an apology. Nope. No such thing. The Ambassador reached out to the hotel and this time the 4pts sent me a form apology letter. Clearly, the 4pts is fine with its associates lying to customers. Of course, as the front desk manager likely lied about sending an apology e-mail, I am unsurprised that the 4pts hotel considers lying to be acceptable behavior. I see no reason to ever return to that hotel.
