1. To
restore the Ambassador level service to what it was, to give an incentive for members to spend $20K and reach the 100 nights requirement per year.
2. To bring back physical cards for Lifetime memberships.
3. To create another level as an incentive for Lifetime Titanium members to spend most of their hotel nights in Marriott properties, instead of taking advantage of their "freedom" to wander around at Hilton, IHG, Accor .... hotels. LT Titanium members, whether Ambassador or not, are usually well treated at hotels where they are frequent guests. At properties that they have not stayed at, or have just stayed a few times, it is too often a hit-or-miss experience. An additional Lifetime level (I suggested earlier the name "Rhodium", but any - good - name would do it
), that could be granted after 20 years as Platinum or Ambassador and 1,500 nights, could be given (for example) 5 confirmed (if available at Booking Time) suite upgrades, after reaching 50 nights, 5 additional at 75 nights and 5 more at 100 nights. It could also be 1 free night without point limit, at 50, 75 & 100 nights.
