That is exactly what I observed. I somehow didn't interpret your post correctly, so I didn't pick elite bonus at 75k, and can confirm that I got 0% during the period when I was 75k.

Clarifying for others - you can delay picking the status benefits, and the elite bonus will retroactive to when you reached that status level. There are some references to it being retroactive to start of the year, but that only applies if you had earned that status level the previous year. In the case of early recognition, the retroactive only goes as far back as when you reached the level. My failure to grasp this (despite
CliffD clearly spelling it out for me) meant that I missed out on 75% of 25k points (those after I reached 75k and before I reached 100k).
