Why the scare quotes? Surely there is nothing more natural than a direct flight that overflies the destination by 200 miles, stops, and has a change of gauge!
(This is exactly why I cringe whenever someone asks if there's a "direct" flight. I always want to scream, "That's not (necessarily) what you want!"
