The expiration date is simply the date by which Priority Pass will replace the physical card. It will become invalid as soon as the card issuer notifies Priority Pass that they will not pay for your visits. The language in the Priority Pass terms is stilted, but unambiguous:

In the event of Customer cancelling either their access to Programme, or the relationship with the payment card provider or other organisation through which their access is granted, the Means of Access will be cancelled with effect from the effective date of that cancellation....In the event that Programme membership has been revoked due to Customer’s payment card being cancelled or an account being transitioned to a payment card that no longer participates in the Programme, Priority Pass reserves the right to pursue legal action to recover any outstanding charges.
