There are no changes. The only NRT-TPE flight is on Thu. morning, so I believe no North American-NRT flights can make the connection, as long as overnight transit remains impossible at NRT. The only option is still the overnight transit via HND, but JL doesn't serve SEA-HND.
If you need to re-route and have a domestic AA flight prior to the JL flight to HND for an overnight transit, please take note of my recent horrible experience:
https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/34212466-post236.html. I don't know if AS would have the same problem.
Yes, I saw that - thanks to checking the link u provided. I've already called Alaska and fixed my flights - so to speak. Had a really good Alaska agent. Now I do have an overnight in HND, out of LAX. Business all the way now though. I'm also holding a SEA-TPE on EVA direct at the moment, but in economy.
12 hours in EVA economy, or JAL business w/ overnight in HND? (35 hours total)
At first glance, I think most would take the 12 hours in EVA economy. And I'm still thinking about it. But, in EVA Econ I would have to wear my mask all the time pretty much, and I hate wearing masks. Would also have to check in to the quarantine hotel earlier, which costs more, and I'm still in a small space.
I would like to try JAL Sky Suite (Granted I can do that on the return flight, which is now routed through Honolulu! No overnight required - though I may). I've determined I can spend most of my time in HND at airport lounges...so I can just read a book. Maybe get some shut eye on a massage chair? Ideally the HND transit hotel opens, but I'm not counting on that.
The downside, is more segments. More risk of cancellation or delay (especially SEA-LAX). More baggage risk (Though as a business ticket, that's less) Though looks like most delays/cancels happening elsewhere on FlightAware.
EVA also flies to TPE. Now I'm going to TSA - so some time/$$ savings there - however minimal.

I changed it online...but since the NRt-TPE flight I had was cancelled, I just called in and a great agent fixed it for me - now all HND, no more NRT. The auto fix originally had my connecting flight depart before I arrived in NRT. Hahahaha. Maybe JAL has some time travel device on their aircraft now. New invention.
