The extent of your LAX connection service will depend on the LP PA that greets you upon arrival. LAX PAs (unlike the miserable staff in IAH) are generally very accommodating. I did that same GVA-CDG-LAX run last month and my (newish) PA even offered to walk me all the way to Terminal 7 and United, easily a 20 minute trek. I declined her kind offer.
