Thanks! The posts in this thread confirm what I had begun to conclude: that I had generally experienced more generous hotels pre-covid. I have my preference set to points, but usually got two water bottles at checkin. That seems to have diminished lately.

(If every hotel had water-bottle filling stations, I would care less).
