Absolutely no attempt to prioritise passengers based on departure time. One guy desperately trying to make a connection security saying no priority here wait in line. An American women overheard the discussion & said “look my flights not for 4 hrs go in front of me” …security guys said NO thats not allowed.
This aligns with the attitude I saw when I flew out of AMS on one of their "crazy days". What does it matter to the security folk if people self-organise in line?!
