Issue with free checked bags
My wife recently picked up the CitiBusiness Aadvantage Platinum card. She's had it for over a month. We know that it's properly tied into her Aadvantage account, because the Citi website shows her Aadvantage miles balance.
She recently flew with my daughter, both on the same reservation, and both of their Aadvantage numbers have been on the reservation since booking.
They checked in for their last flight at an airport kiosk, they both checked on bag, and they paid the bag fees with the Citi card. We're now seeing two charges of $23.75, with no credits given for the free bags.
Is there something they're doing wrong? If not, do we complain to American or to Citi?
Any advise is appreciated, as they're flying again later today.
