This is exactly in line with my experience, especially ex-West Coast.
Hawaii food ex-West Coast has not been upgraded. If the food is the same between Hawaii and West Coast and Premium Transcon, it's because the Premium Transcon food has been downgraded. I've only been flying monthly between the west Coast and Hawaii since 2012. I think I've observed what's been paced in front of me.
