Not at all, both versions earn nights credit (TQN). Depending on annual charges either card may earn more TQN. With well-timed churning one could earn TQN for both cards almost every year.

And the typical Hyatt CC (both versions) SUB is “worth” multiple Cat 1-7 or Cat 1-4 award nights, each of which when redeemed earns a TQN. So if it's possibly NOT about the SUBs, it should be about the SUBs
