The escort was useful. We were escorted through the regular lane and brought to the front of the line. Always a little awkward as people watch you cut the line. The escort to the plane could also have been better handled - they only brought us to the gate after general boarding has started so we had to make our way through the crowd, and inevitably people thought we were trying to cut the line and a couple of them were pretty nasty about it (well I guess we were but…).
LP lounge in JFK has never been anything to write home about in my experience. The service was fine but sloppy and food was just ok (i think it’s the same menu they’re offering in the general lounge for “night service” but plated better). They were also only serving the regular Taittinger and Laurent Perrier Rose. No Grand Siecle available.
