Stayed recently on points. Oddly enough, when I booked you could pre-select upgraded rooms for the same point value. The regular room, room with a balcony, and terrace room were all the same point value, but priced differently. I chose the terrace room and was pleased (photos of terrace attached)
The terrace was on the 1st floor (not ground) and you could look up at the small balcony rooms, and the regular rooms above that. The terraces are very nice, great for room service, but not really private from the other terraces. The hotel was not full, so didn't see any neighbors. However, being on the 1st floor, you would hear the nightlife of Madrid, even through the triple paned glass, well past 3am.

The hotel itself was pristine, modern, and super stylish. I was worried that it would be very superficially nice, but the hotel itself is genuinely beautiful. The lobby is a bit odd in that it's a bar with couches, music, and life. Spaces at the hotel seem to be hidden away, not in plain sight which is odd, but coo. For example, when you enter the hotel from the 'main entrance' there is a funky staircase. Hidden to the right is an elevator that goes to the rooftop restaurant. Hidden to the left is the elevator that goes to the lobby.

In the lobby, you walk along the wall into a small reception area. I can't imagine more than two people there at one time. The main restaurant Jeronimo is tucked away to the right, with its own entrance. Also tucked away is the Punch room, a very cool, quiet, dimly lit bar. It's bound to be a destination in Madrid.

The rooftop bar was not open (opens next week?) but the small pool was (hotel guests only) and there's a space that looks like a lawn with lounge chairs to sun. (Photo of not open bar here)

The room was really nice, and was standard except for the addition of the terrace. I would not say it was small at all. The high ceilings made it feel spacious. The shower was insanely large and wonderful. I'ts stylish and comfy all around.

The staff: WOW. Every person I met greeted me, asked about the stay, tried to suggest things to do, places to go. "Have you seen the punch room? I'll show it to you!" Need a Covid test for departure? Want a tour of the roof? Taxi?, more Nespresso pods for your room, etc etc etc. In addition to being a beautiful hotel, the staff really made it special. And beyond competence, the staff exuded a friendliness that I have not always experienced in Spain.

As a titanium member I was offered a nominal upgrade to a larger room, but told that the terrace room is special so I may want to keep that (which I did) I asked about a suite upgrade and was told they do not offer that, which was honest and fair since some of the suites were running 3000EUR/night.
