The official wording is 'includes any connecting services on BA/IB and joint business 'back and beyonds' if included on the same ticket', so therefore yes since you can argue anything theoretically. I've managed to move a flight from LHR-DUB on the return segment of a TATL ticket to LHR-CDG despite the cancelled flight was the JFK-LHR and that ended up being moved earlier (so in fact, my connection was totally unaffected).
