As one or two have implied, ST options the Maldives are limited. If you’re willing to fly to CMB or DOH/DXB/AUH, you can get yourself from there to Male easily. CMB tends to be the cheapest option and is a short flight. The rest are about 4 hours and coach can run you quite a bit of money. Still, sometimes it’s the best option. And if you have the time, they’re all great places to spend a night or two on either end of the trip.
