Have flown BOS-CDG-MLE in AF J booked with DL miles. AF operates CDG-MLE a few times a week, so find that availability first, then figure out how to position to CDG. You'll have a long layover in CDG (i.e., arrive early morning and depart late evening), but I find that it breaks up the long trip nicely and affords opportunity for lunch and sightseeing in Paris. A perfectly reasonable option if you can spare the time.
