Hi fellow flyers! I have a questions regarding an open and unused QR ticket from 2020, maybe somebody has experience here and can share their experience. My wife works in healthcare and we were able to book a RT from Atlanta to Doha during their free flights for healthcare workers promotion in 2020.
Since COVID did not allow us to fly, we had to put the ticket on hold. In September of 2020 when putting the ticket on hold, I received an official email from QR stating:Dear Customer,

Thank you for your communication. We have kept your ticket open based on your request.

If your ticket is fully unutilized, you will have up to two years to use the ticket, and can book your travel within a period of one further year after.
We are now trying to get the flights rebooked to January 2023 but on the phone and via chat we have been told that we need travel to be completed by 5/31, another time it was 09/30. I understood that their most recent COVID flexibility update states 09/30.

However, we really want to get the flights changed to January 2023 and the way I interpret their email from 2020, we should be allowed to. Is there anybody who successfully changed their ticket past 09/30/2022? Any advise, tips are greatly appreciated!
