Just returned to Aus after 10 days in Malaysia (Penang / Langkawi). Check-in requested most of the time in Penang, almost never in Langkawi. Masks still required outside but compliance is pretty limited in Langkawi although a bit higher in Penang. Lots of things still closed in Langkawi though, sadly. As an FYI, avoided the KLIA arrival RTK antigen for RM120 by using CLEA (local malaysian app) which was RM25 for a virtual recorded test. You have to supply your own Malaysian-endorsed RTK test - bought for maybe RM9 at Guardian in the Satellite terminal. We just did the test in transit in the MH lounge before our domestic to Penang. Used tune protect for travel insurance which appeared to be more expensive than the specific travel insurances for Singapore / Thailand for comparison.
