It makes me curious to see what happens if Chase and/or Capitol One are able to build a significant presence with their own lounges, combined with their full priority pass access. They've been somehow able to figure out how to not cut these costs. Why can't American Express?
Cap 1 has opened one lounge. Chase has yet to open any, and they're going to be Chase-branded/modified "The Club" lounges anyway. I think it's premature to say that they've figured out how to make all those co-exist, if and until they do build a significant presence, though I'm curious to see too. Amex also has the Plaza Premium and Delta SkyClub access, which other issuers probably can't easily replicate.
