My biggest ongoing frustration is being unable to make modifications online. As a PM who books in advance I always get auto upgraded to C+. Once this occurs no online modifications to the reservation may be made. They can put a man on the moon but DL needs me to call an agent to modify a C+ booking. Even after selecting MC seats I still cannot modify online.
I get it. You get it.
But you KNOW if they allowed that, there would be a lot of folks who later complained that they lost their complimentary upgrade to C+ when they made this type of change online, and they'd feel like Delta owed them.
