Call Customer Service, not reservations. That is what the chat reservations agents keep telling me, that for any new reservations or changes to call the CS number, not contact them (reservations). It is not CS function to do reservations, but they are empowered and actually CAN get tickets changed and issued.
Con: CS is not 24x7.
Pro: much shorter hold/wait times than with reservations. Empowered agents who know what they are doing.
But obviously don't abuse it and only call when you really NEED something done, and I suggest that you explain to CS that you know it's not their job, but that reservations agents simply do not have the knowledge or access to do their job, so that is why you are calling them. The CS agents are good, fast and efficient and will get you well taken care of.
