I would not take an extra stop to avoid an old config 787. The center seats are fine, no one crawls over you, the seats are wide enough, and the footwells are generous. An old config 767? That might be another story. Those are incredibly narrow.
Yea, not what I mean't. JFK is direct and my preference...its a coin toss with the 789 though, but thanks for that info re: the old seats. I've flown them before from GRU and they're not bad--just would prefer a pod if I can snag one.
