Myself and companion were #1 and #2 on the list with 3 open F seats. I did not see the gate agent doing any processing - but at exacting T-40 minutes - all three cleared at once.

I like the new auto processing. This solves the shenanigans and allows you to get new boarding pass before boarding begins.
I hope this rolls out systemwide! I connect on most itineraries and have been bumped to Y far too many times after misconnects - a major pet peeve of mine. Save the seats for misconnects and furnish upgrades at the gate...

Anyone else seen this? I have a connection at DFW next week, I'll make sure to get to the gate early and furnish some intel here.
