If you feel the benefits are thin, then why do you keep the card?

For me the benefits are huge. Just one small example. I flew DL yesterday on a simple east coast shuttle flight. Only yesterday, if you look at the TSA numbers, was more than 90% of the pre-pandemic travelers. In other words, it was a Friday travel hell. My original flight kept getting pushed out and out. So I went to the SkyClub and with my Platinum status was very well taken care of, rebooked on a flight that wasn't delayed and upgraded on the spot to first class. Later I enjoyed the best Equinox in NYC.

Longer than usual hold times are not pleasant, but I expect that situation to be temporary. What isn't temporary are the best credit card benefits in the industry for most travelers.
