Yeah I don't see how this isn't a positive. Less work for the GA and less chance of error (or "error"). There's no reason that the GA should be doing something other than what the computer says anyway.
Side note -- is a GA still able to add you to the upgrade list? In the past when I've bought flights very late, I was not auto-requested for upgrades and I had to talk to a GA to request the upgrade (phone agents could not do it either). Will that still work the same way?
