Obviously good for folks who fly AS <-> UA connections. But it is not necessarily a short walk/stroll.

T2 gate to T3 baggage claim is shorter than a lot of same terminal arrivals in many airports I've visited. T2 gate to some T3 gates (say, the old Gate 90, no idea what it is now called) is a decent hike. For all of us that are using the AX lounge, we have no idea what anyone is complaining about
