However, if its one letter different just travel - no-one will bat an eyelid. There are immumerable ways to spell names when translating from various languages which don't convert well onto boarding passes, and a single character in error won't be questioned.
Did a little digging and KLM allows name changes in the first 24 hours for free. So that's at least one data point saying Aegean has their hand in our pockets unnecessarily.

I thought the same thing about the single digit, but didn't want to take the chance of something going wrong at the airport so I just paid the 20 Euro. It's my fault obviously, but the airlines could be more understanding, ala KLM, in the first hours post booking.
