I have a feeling it has something to do with first time transfers. I had to send in a screenshot of my Amex credit card statement showing points being debited to their IT support. Yesterday I did a test transfer of 1,000 miles and it posted instantly.

Are you able to see miles coming in, in your account transactions view? I was able to see it there and when I try to transfer miles to other LM members.
