Steamed with baby carrots. Lots of real butter and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes. I don’t think I’ve ever eaten a fresher cabbage. That may be the reason it tasted so delicious. But it may just have been the butter which is a rare treat for me.

Actually the carrots weren’t babies. They just didn’t grow very long despite spending 4 months in the ground. I have until the end of tomorrow to complete harvest at the old patch as it’s been promised to a couple starting Sunday. Good timing as we are forecasted to reach 35 Saturday night. I will start planting the new plot on Monday. Frost begone!
