But app works great. On the menu if you scroll down under additional services it says seat selection. Dont try manage my booking because it gives an error.
But fyi they charge money for all economy seat selections now.
Yikes - not happy they've joined the rest of the EU carriers in charging for all seats. Yes, their website was traditionally pretty useless. Definitely got a fancy new site since the last time I flew them several years ago, but apparently that's just an interface update, and didn't update the tech on the backend. Unfortunate.

TK call center, IME, is absolutely horrible. I've never had an interaction with them that I could clearly understand (I realize that sometimes the accents are hard for me to understand - but I know its been beyond that also). Anytime you can deal with these issues on a website/app (even with UA), IME, that's the best way to do it.

Those in the TK forum are saying "Turkish is great in the air and terrible on the ground", I definitely agree!
Yes, that's been the saying. Depends what part of the ground. Lounges (on the ground) are great. Also had a great experience with them in IST personally escorting about a dozen of us over from our 4 hour late flight from YYZ to get us all on the BOM flight they held for us (It was something like 30 minutes after scheduled departure). Walked us all the way through transit, security etc. (a walk the theoretically would have been unnecessary without the transit protocols they have - our flight docked at gate right next to departure gate, but because you had to go to central transit area, then walk back, it added like 20 minutes). I'll be honest - wouldn't have been completely disappointed to spend 24 hours exploring IST (this was in the days before I would have been worried about safely visiting) - but equally glad they got us on board (luggage didn't arrive until the next day - that part after landing was not fun). Call center part of the ground is definitely in the 'terrible' league.
