Crossposting this question here since I'm hoping it's a simple answer.
When I book an award ticket through ANA, will I get a UA confirmation number so I can see the flights in the UA App? The preliminary answer I'm reading is that I'll have to call an ANA CSR to get the UA confirmation number. Once this happens, will I be able to select my seats/upgrade in the UA app as if I had just purchased a Saver Award flight from UA? It sounds like both are coded as X tickets, so I am hoping that is the case. I really just want to be able to purchase an Y+ seat since that is not available for award redemption.
