Misunderstanding what is happening. DL considers C+ a separate cabin and requires you clear an "upgrade" into it. (Just like First Class, which STE+ are eligible for after all DL/AM elites) Even DL Diamonds can't clear into C+ till T-24 if booked as a codeshare.
The reverse, DL codeshare on KL metal simply requires a phone call to KL.
Hey [MENTION=23937]flyerCO[/MENTION]: What is stupid about it, is that KL and DL apply different rules on one ticket. So depending on ticket, fare bucket and what tube you end up sitting in will determine whether you can select your earned upgradable seat during booking, or 24 hours in advance. On my ticket, had my return also been on a KL tube, I could have selected my earned, upgradable seats both ways. Now I enter the lottery 24 hours in advance. I understand they both have different rules. But that is what is so stupid about it, different rules on one ticket, issued as one by one carrier.
