There’s nothing preventing you from going directly to counter for your special needs. Just bypass the kiosks and kiosk agents. Tell the counter agents you’d rather not use the kiosks and they’ll accommodate you. Everyone is moving to kiosks domestically. Int’l airports are a less so as document checks are a bit more common. Travel can be easier and less stressful if you can adapt. Card stock BPs probably won’t be around too much longer. Hopefully you won’t have to quit flying when they’re gone

Either way, not to be overly critical, but agreed - OP's preferences will not be applicable much longer. Like it or not the world went digital years ago, I'm actually rather surprised that paper BPs are still a thing post-COVID. They killed everything else that involved a personal touch...
