None of this makes any sense whatsoever. None. it looks like you're saying it was 9
500-mile upgrades one-way and a
20,000 mile upgrade award from SCL-MIA? This is truly Twilight Zone stuff. However you pulled that off-- more power to ya'-- but the answer is still the same for all intents and purposes. You cannot use AA miles to upgrade on other OneWorld carriers. Period. And 500-milers for deep S. American travel??? Who knows what happened here, but it is a once-in-a-lifetime, struck by lightning 3 times in a day type event and has no bearing on anyone else-- this is your own, personal AAdvantage program.
