I always thought the key was how the nags were tagged, if PWM was the final destination then thats where theyd end up. Ive had it where I switched flights but my bags stayed on the original routing (me LAX-SFO-JFK, switched to LAX-JFK when the LAX-SFO was delayed) told my bags would be switched they werent but when I checked with the baggage office when they didnt show up was told they are inbounding on the SFO-JFK flight and waited the 40 mins for them to arrive Or I flew SNA-PHX-JFK when tkted SNA-DFW-JFK my bags went as tagged even thou I didnt and had to go to JFK later the next day to get them since I was originally over nighting @ DFW

True I didnt outright CX the tkt just the routing but no changes were made either time till after I was by the gate and the bags were long checked,
