same issue happened to me in one of the airports I visited. They requested a physical card. I contacted Priority pass and this is part of the email I got

“In the meantime, you can access our lounges with our Digital Membership Card which provides card-free access using a 2D barcode found in our smartphone app or in the My Account section of our website. The Digital Membership Card is now accepted at all of our lounges.”
