Yep rice under the katsu.
Side bowl wasn’t mentioned when they came to take orders and no written menu but it is a rice ball (onigiri inspired?) with rice, mayo dressing, furikake and some seasonings molded with a mellon ...... or ice cream scoop. Came with a little side container of scallions and fried shallots? (don’t quite remember what was underneath the scallion container). Wasn’t sure if the accoutrements were meant for the main dish or the side dish but I threw them in with the side dish and thought it was pretty good.
