Hi Khabah, I stayed here during ADNEC in November for 2 weeks. I got pretty lucky with my booking because they actually sold out for my dates literally a week before my check-in. For the record, rooms here were going for $80/night for my dates when I booked this a month earlier. Due to ADNEC, they began selling basic rooms for $900+ each night! There were also points for 8k/night for an incredible deal vs those ADNEC cash rates.

I was an Explorist at check-in where 14 nights were all on a 1 King Bed room. They upgraded me to a Capital Suite at check in + gave me complimentary Breakfast Buffet. I did mention to them that I would be achieving Globalist status after completing my stay, to which I'm assuming why the GM threw in the free breakfast + Suite.

It is true that there is no wine hour. There is no lounge/club either since its Andaz. Amenities at this hotel were a bit limited, Sauna/Steam was closed, but the restaurant offerings were reasonable. After 5 PM their small pool bar opens, but that was it. During my 2 weeks, I pretty much had the pool to myself or with 2 other guests from 3pm to Sunset. The location of this hotel is heavily business oriented, so I hardly saw any other tourists except those who came for ADNEC/Business in the area.

If you are still emailing this hotel, I would recommend asking to speak/contact Abishek. He is the GM of the Andaz Capital Gate - He really went above and beyond during my extended stay here and I'm sure he can accommodate your requests as well. Very humble individual.

Based on some email communications I had with the hotel last year, they told me that they have stopped the all-guest wine hour. This was an Andaz feature when the brand launched, but it seems that property by property, Hyatt is eliminating this feature.
