Admittedly, in the US it is a bit of a different story. But let's face it, the US has a ton of crappy, overpriced chain hotels. This issue is far from being unique to CP.
Completely agree, outside of the US, some of the Crowne Plaza hotels offer the best benefits for Spire members. Unfortunately CP hotels can be a real mixed bag, so you need to know which ones that applies to, and which ones to steer clear of.
