I arrived into YVR on 23 Dec.

On arrival, we were split into two queues after baggage reclaim. Queue A = selected for testing. Queue B = not selected for testing. I was in Queue A. It seemed like they were assigning this based on your immigration form, and there were a lot of BA85 passengers selected for testing.

Pre-register for testing if you can - the queue seemed to be shorter - but you need a Canadian phone number (which I don't have). You still need to go to one of the pre-registration desks but it seemed quicker.

If you don't pre-register, you can be registered by one of the staff there at one of the registration desks. This process was quick although the queue for this was longer.

After the registration / pre-registration desks, you go to a booth where they take a swap and then you are free to go out (for quarantine).

I was out of the airport in around 1.5 hrs from disembarking although my baggage took quite a long time.

I received my result 24 hours after testing by email. You have to login to their portal to get the result.
