I’m also looking at their room types and it looks like the “executive suite” is more of a larger normal room and the “junior suite” is a traditional suite. It’s similar at the JW in bogota. Their junior suites are definitely regular suites and even have a half bath. Very odd that they do this and I would be equally upset that they’re calling a slightly larger room a “suite”.
Yeah according to them the “executive suite” codes and shows up in their systems as a executive level lounge access room. That’s it. But somehow also this particular room is a real executive suite since its the only room next to the lounge which is why it’s missing the living room of other suites. None of it makes sense. So if this is a mistake then take it off the site, but given Marriott lately I’m thinking they allow this to help hotels make more money. They didn’t dispute that it costs more per night and are happy to take the money haha.
