Re the fireworks show on NYE, the whole area will supposedly be blocked off and crowds strictly controlled. You can register via the U by Emaar app if you wish to be in the Burj Khalifa area – you need to submit your personal details including photo of passport, which they will allegedly check on entry to the area on NYE.
