Yeah, I was going to stay there last week -- was ready for a break from all the older, kinda dirty Hamptons I'd been staying at in Jacksonville and on our way south... But I ended up booking the Hilton Garden Inn a few hundred yards from the ES. We walked by the Embassy Suites, and it did look nice - definitely a "resorty" property vs. the bland on-the-road hotels around it, but I noted that the ES was almost completely empty. Unless you reaaaaaallly need to save that 50 yard walk across the street to hit a beach, you can save a ton of bucks/points in that same block. IIRC, ES was 70k, and the HGI was 33k.
Too bad. I would have paid a few bucks more, but it was just one night, so... HGI won.
